DKD/DAKKS - PERFORMANCES

Should you require a calibration for a certain date, don't hesitate to contact us.
We will be pleased to find an agreement with you. If the measuring values are outside from the tolerances specified by the producer, we are able tu adjust the measuring instrument after having contacted you.
The expenses of the adjustment are calculated acc. to the effort, and ,of course, we will send you the measuring values before adjustment, if you like this.
Why a DKD calibration?
- security of measuring results
- requirements of quality managements
- international acceptance
- re-tracking to national and international standards
- calibration acc. to valid regulations and standards
- legally accepted

What contains a DKD calibration certificate?
- calibration points with deviations of measurements
- unsecurity of the measuring values of calibration
- note about the calibration method
- reference standard used

Is the device equipped with a mark about the DKD calibration?
The calibration object is receiving a stick with:
- the number of the calibration certificate
- the number of the calibration laboratory
- the date of the calibration

How often a calibration should be done?
A yearly calibration is recommended, but depends on your requirements

The calibration service for you:
- intensive advise free from charge
- A calibration corresponding with your requirments
- A gratuitous yearly reminder about the re-calibration

Calibrations in the LUFFT-DKD calibration laboratory K-26701 - important definitions:
calibrierung Calibrating referred to measuring techniques means to determine the deviation at the complete measuring instrument. No technical intervention is done here at the measuring instrument. At displaying measuring instruments the deviation between display and the measuring size applied as correct is determined at the calibration.

adjustment A measuring instrument (or material measure) is set or adjusted with the aim that measuring deviations become as small as possible or that the sum of the measuring deviations don't exceed the fault limits. For this adjustment requests an intervention altering the measuring instrument or the material measure permanently.

Gauging Gauging a measuring instrument (or material measure) contains the tests to be carried out by the responsible gauging authority acc. to the gauging regulations as well as a stamp marking. By the examination it's determined whether the measuring instrument to be gauged corresponds with the gauging regulations, i.e. whether it meets with the demands made to its properties and to its meas. technical characters, expecially whether the sum of the measuring deviations don't exceed the fault limits. By stamp marking it is certified that the measuring instrument has met with these demands at time of examination and that due to its properties it can be expected that, in case of handling corresponding with technical rules, it will remain within the tolerances noted within the period of time between gauging It is regulated by law which type of measuring instruments have to comply with the obligatory calibration.

Reduction (DKD-6) procedure to refer measuring results to national and international standards by an non-interrupted chain of calibrations

national standard (international dictionary of metrology, 2nd edition 1994, 6.3) standard being accepted within a country by a national decision as basis of determination of the values of all further standards of this measured variable

reference standard (international dictionary of metrology, 2nd edition 1994, 6.6) standard, generally be derived from the highest available accuracy at a certain site or organisation, where measurements are derived from.

working standard (international dictionary of metrology, 2nd edition 1994, 6.7) standard being used as a matter of routine in order to calibrate or check material measures, measuring instruments or reference materials

measuring uncertainty (international dictionary of metrology, 2nd edition 1994 3.9) Parameters being correlated to the measuring result, marking the spreading of measuring values which could reasonably be correlated to the measuring variable

smallest possible measuring uncertainty (DKD-6)
measuring uncertainty, being accepted as the smallest possible measuring uncertainty for a laboratory for each measuring variable or determined meausring ranges due to the judgement of the budget for measuring uncertainties and comparative measurements being executed if necessary.
